Lambton County, ON – December 19, 2025 – For over 70 years, Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) has been dedicated to building inclusive communities where people with developmental disabilities are valued, supported, and empowered to live their best lives.
This year, LCDS proudly introduced the Inclusive Communities Award at North Lambton Secondary School (NLSS) in Forest and Lambton Central Collegiate & Vocational Institute (LCCVI) in Petrolia. Each award, valued at $500, recognizes a graduating student who demonstrates leadership in creating inclusive environments, advocates for students of all abilities, and shows empathy and concern for others.
LCDS is proud to announce the inaugural recipients: Lily Heynsbergen (NLSS) and Regan Jacklin (LCCVI). Both students exemplify what it means to lead with empathy and ensure everyone feels they belong.
“Congratulations to Lily and Regan,” said Nick Salaris, LCDS Executive Director. “Your dedication to inclusion inspires us all, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact you’ll continue to make in our community.”
Through initiatives like this, LCDS continues its mission to foster inclusion and empower individuals, one person at a time.
