We do this by living our mission of empowering people with developmental disabilities and by working toward our vision of inclusive communities ~ innovative leaders.

For nearly half a century, Petrolia Enterprises has been a thriving hub where individuals of all abilities come together to develop skills, collaborate, and craft exceptional wooden products. Established by Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) in the 1970s as a sheltered workshop, this innovative space has since evolved into a 11,448 sq. ft facility on Centre Street in Petrolia. It now stands as the heart of LCDS’s social enterprise initiatives.
At Petrolia Enterprises, our specialty lies in construction stake production. Supported by LCDS, our dedicated team of employees manufactures stakes year-round. These stakes are available in a variety of lengths and can be customized to meet specific preferences, including paint colors and company branding.
Beyond stake production, we take immense pride in creating unique wooden home décor, furniture, and seasonal handicrafts. From charming birdhouses to whimsical woodland Easter bunnies and festive fall pumpkins, our talented employees channel their craftsmanship into every piece they create.
You can explore and purchase these handcrafted treasures at the Olde Post Office Shoppe—another division of LCDS—located in beautiful downtown Petrolia. Visit Olde Post Office Shoppe to bring home a piece of our passion and dedication.
