LCDS 2025 Strategic Plan Progress at a Glance
PETROLIA- Jan 30, 2026 – LCDS has released the 2025 Annual Strategic Plan Update. The update highlights progress made across all four priorities in our 2024–2027 Strategic Plan.
Key Highlights
Priority 1: Sustainability of Supports, Services & Operations.
Support‑needs assessments were completed across all locations, new fee‑for‑service opportunities were identified, and technology upgrades began rolling out for staff and people supported.
Priority 2: Becoming a Non‑Profit Employer of Choice.
Job postings and training plans were updated to better reflect required skills and values. Total rewards education sessions were delivered, pay equity adjustments were implemented in December, and work continues to clarify roles and responsibilities across teams.
Priority 3: Increasing Housing Opportunities.
LCDS strengthened partnerships with Habitat for Humanity, the County of Lambton, and government agencies. A full housing inventory is now complete, providing a strong foundation for future planning.
Priority 4: Increasing Community Engagement.
People supported have begun presenting at staff orientation, with more involvement planned for 2026. Enhancements to the Speak Up Messaging Centre are underway, and community presence continues to expand across Lambton County, including deeper connections with local high schools.
