MEDIA RELEASE – Successful Skills Development Fund Grant – Bringing Virtual Reality Training to LCDS

We are excited to officially announce that Lambton County Developmental Services has been successful in receiving funds to create and launch a new Virtual Reality Training Program.

We have been working with Melcher Studios, a Canadian company, to bring one-of-a-kind training modules to LCDS and Lambton County! These modules will enhance learning experiences and give new hires/potential employees a firsthand look at day-to-day life, in the developmental services industry. We will bring the VR headsets to events, tradeshows, and current employees will have the opportunity to test out the modules for training purposes too!

Big thank you to the Skills Development Fund and our Ontario Government for the support and opportunity to create this innovative training system for our community.
