Physician Lunch & Learn: Building Local Capacity in FASD Diagnosis

The Sarnia Lambton FASD Network is pleased to invite physicians and health‑care professionals to an in‑person Lunch & Learn, an event made possible through the generous support of the Sarnia Community Fund.

This session will be led by Dr. Michelle Ponti, a London‑based Paediatrician whose clinical work focuses on complex behavioural, developmental, and learning needs. Dr. Ponti practices at the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI), a provincial centre dedicated to supporting children and youth with mental health and developmental challenges. Her extensive experience brings a thoughtful, practical perspective to developmental and behavioural paediatrics.

What to Expect

This luncheon will explore FASD: A Community Paediatrician’s Perspective, with a focus on strengthening local capacity in FASD diagnosis. Attendees will also learn about an opportunity for 10 physicians or health‑care providers to participate in specialized training through the Canada FASD Research Network (CanFASD),  an important step toward expanding diagnostic and support pathways within our region.
