LCDS Strengthens Advocacy Through Community Living Ontario Membership

LCDS is proud to announce that we are now a member and partner organization of Community Living Ontario, joining a provincial network of more than 125 agencies dedicated to advocating for and supporting people with developmental disabilities and their families.

What This Membership Means

By becoming a member, LCDS is formally part of a collective movement grounded in rights, inclusion, and community belonging. This step reflects shared values and a shared responsibility to remove barriers and strengthen communities across Ontario.

As a member, LCDS:

  • Aligns with a province‑wide movement advocating for inclusion and belonging
  • Joins a trusted network of community‑based organizations
  • Contributes local experience to provincial advocacy and policy discussions
  • Participates in governance through voting and engagement
  • Gains access to the Community Living Ontario Member Resource Hub

Why It Matters

Membership reinforces our commitment to ensuring that people supported by LCDS are respected, empowered, and included, not only within Lambton County, but within the broader systems that shape their lives.

Supporting people to live meaningful, included lives as valued community members is not just our work.
