PETROLIA, ON – June 23, 2026 – Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) marked the beginning of its 71st year of operations during its Annual General Meeting, held last evening at the LCDS Administration Office in Petrolia.

During the meeting, staff and board directors reviewed and approved the 2024–2025 Annual Report, along with audited financial statements prepared by MNP LLP, underscoring LCDS’s continued commitment to accountability and strong governance.

The organization also recognized outgoing Board Treasurer Chad Turnbull (2023–2026) for his commitment and valued contributions over the past three years.

LCDS welcomed Dawn Stilwell to the Board of Directors and announced her appointment as Treasurer for the 2025–2026 term. In this role, she will support the organization’s ongoing financial stewardship and strategic priorities.

The organization also reflected on the successful completion of its 70th anniversary year. This milestone was celebrated with a series of community events across Lambton County, which brought together individuals, families, staff, and community members in celebration of inclusion and connection.

As part of the evening’s program, LCDS highlighted its social enterprise, Petrolia Enterprises, with a screening of a documentary filmed by Fanshawe College student Cooper Morrison. The film features Rob Snopko, who has been employed at Petrolia Enterprises for more than 35 years, and supported by LCDS, showcasing the impact of meaningful and inclusive employment opportunities.
