LCDS Appoints Lori Richardson as New Supports Director
Petrolia, ON – February 17, 2026 – Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) is pleased to announce that Lori Richardson has been appointed as the organization’s new Supports Director, joining the Senior Leadership Team in March 2026.
Selected through a comprehensive and highly competitive recruitment process, Richardson emerged as the successful candidate based on her extensive experience, deep community roots, and strong alignment with LCDS’s mission and strategic direction empowering those with developmental disabilities in our community.
“Lori’s leadership is grounded in heart, integrity, and a deep understanding of the people and communities we serve,” said Nick Salaris, Executive Director of LCDS. “Her experience, her commitment to quality, and her long history with our organization make her an exceptional addition to our Senior Leadership Team. We are excited for the vision and energy she brings to this role as we continue building an inclusive future for the people we support.”
Richardson brings 26 years of experience with LCDS, beginning her journey in 2000 as a high‑school co‑op student in Watford. Since 2018, she has served as the organization’s Quality Enhancement Manager, and previously held progressive roles including Support Services Manager, Resource & Planning Coordinator, Team Leader, and Frontline Support Worker. As LCDS’s CARF Lead, she guided the agency through multiple accreditation surveys, and as Lead Administrator for the AIMS system, she strengthened reporting accuracy, risk mitigation, and communication across departments.
This leadership transition follows the planned retirement of Jill Johnston, who has served as Residential Supports Director since 2021. LCDS extends its appreciation to Jill for her service and contributions, and now looks ahead to a new chapter under Richardson’s leadership.
A lifelong resident of Lambton County, Richardson grew up in Warwick Township and now lives in Petrolia with her husband and two children.
LCDS looks forward to the leadership, expertise, and community‑rooted perspective Richardson brings as she steps into the role of Supports Director in March 2026.
