Good afternoon LCDS Employees, Families and Stakeholders,

We hope you are all safe and well.

As you may be or not be aware, on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, the Ontario government is moving three public health regions to new levels in the revised and strengthened Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Frameworkincluding moving Lambton Public Health into Grey-Lockdown

Effective March 15, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., Lambton County is moving to the status level of Grey-Lockdown with strengthened measures in place based on the COVID-19 Response Framework: Keeping Ontario Safe and Open. The strengthened measures require sector-specific restrictions in order to apply public health measures in high risk settings. For more specific details please refer to the COVID-19 Response Framework: Keeping Ontario Safe and Open –https://www.ontario.ca/page/covid-19-response-framework-keeping-ontario-safe-and-open and to the Lambton Public Health Covd-19 resource page – https://lambtonpublichealth.ca/2019-novel-coronavirus/

We have yet to hear from MCCSS as to whether this will result in any changes to the ‘MCCSS Covid-19 Wave 2 Congregate Care Risk Continuum’ where we currently sit at the ‘Enhanced Precautions’ level. We will share any updates once they are received. The ‘LCDS Covid-19 Guidance Document’ will be updated accordingly with any changes for the morning of Monday, March 15, 2021

Thank you all. We will work though this development together. Be well and safe!

Sincerely,

EMT
