The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Candace Burchart-Etienne as Executive Director of Lambton County Developmental Services(LCDS) effective February 1, 2013. Candie was selected as the result of an extensive search which drew the interest of candidates from across the country. We are pleased that the best candidate was Candie who has contributed so much to LCDS.

Candie has worked at LCDS for almost twenty-nine years, starting as a support worker after she graduated from the University of Guelph. She worked her way through various positions at LCDS including Program Supervisor and Manager of Human Resources before becoming Director of Organizational Development in 2003.

Over the years, Candie has furthered her education, earning her Certified Human Resource Professional designation in 2001. She is already well connected in the Developmental Services Sector and has built and maintained effective relationships both internally and externally with many community partners in the South West Region.

Candie is extremely well qualified to lead and guide our agency with continued success into the future while maintaining the highest level of services for the people we support and their families. Please join us in congratulating Candie on her new position.

Candie succeeds Patrick O’Malley who will be retiring at the end of January. We wish Pat all the best in his upcoming retirement.
