Hello everyone,
It is hard to believe we are in October already- we hope you had a great weekend. We do have a few updates to share with you today…
MCCSS Compliance Review Notification
The agency was notified this afternoon by the MCCSS the Quality Assurance and Compliance Team that a Compliance Review will take place for the agency starting tomorrow, October 5, 2021. The compliance review will occur on October 5, 6 & 7 this week and October 12, 13 & 14 next week. There will be six (6) LCDS locations in total being inspected. Location Managers that have locations being inspected have also been contacted.
The MCCSS the Quality Assurance and Compliance Team is committed to ensuring the health and safety of individuals in care. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the inspection process has changed for the foreseeable future to include the assessment of the health and safety of individuals living in residential sites. They want to acknowledge the dedication and supports you all continue to provide during such a difficult and unprecedented time and appreciate that having an inspection on such short notice may be stressful. We will work through the process together.
Temporary Wage Enhancement
As mentioned at Open Mic on September 23, the provincial and organizational temporary wage enhancement has been approved to October 31, 2021. We have received approval for the September 2021 payments from MCCSS. The next temporary wage enhancement payment will be for regular hours worked in September and will occur on October 15th.
