Good afternoon and we hope you and your families are all safe and well. We do have a number of COVID-19 and organizational updates to share with you this afternoon.
COVID-19 Updates
Update
COVID-19 is impacting the organization with positive cases among employees being reported daily. It is impacting our staffing compliment and our ability to operate all supports and services and/or to resume paused supports and services. Contingency planning is under way to plan for all scenarios.  At the time of this memo, we have confirmed:
Employees
  • Since January 4, 2022. There have been over 150 different employees required to isolate due to testing positive or due to close contacts of positive cases. Many employees have been isolation on more than one occasion for 7 and up to 10 days
People Supported
  • Currently two people we support are positive for COVID-19.
We have seen no hospitalizations to date, and everyone has been able to recover from their illness at home.

Agency Outbreak
We did share via email yesterday that Lambton Public Health has declared an outbreak at our Aniline St (Oil Springs) location. We are working with Lambton Public Health as we navigate through this outbreak.
4th Booster Clinic
We are working with Lambton Public Health to arrange a “4th Booster Clinic” for those interested and wishing to have further immunization. Given the required 5-month interval required between boosters, we are hoping to arrange this clinic for the early part of June. More details to follow.
