On July 18th, Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) and Woods Pearson and Associates held the 17th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Widder Station Golf Course in Thedford. Despite the extremely hot and humid weather conditions, 140 golfers were enthusiastic and eager to get on the golf course! The tournament is held every summer to raise funds for the LCDS Weekend Recreation Program which provides recreational and leisure opportunities for people with developmental disabilities and much needed respite for over 40 families within Lambton County. This year’s Golf Tournament raised nearly $20,000, which ensures that the Weekend Recreation Program can continue to run for another year! A very special thank you goes out to all of the volunteers who make this day possible. Many thanks to this year’s title sponsor Woods Pearson and Associates and all of our other sponsors whose support ensures the success of this tournament year after year. Pictured is this year’s “smartest team”, who achieved a perfect score on the LCDS trivia questions that were featured at each hole: Vince Peseski, Pat O’Malley, John Hassenstein and Frank van Delft.
